Hi! Hello! Bonjour! Konichiwa!... uhh... Ni hao! Hola! My name is Simon Bob Bobby, and today we are going to be looking at my vacation! Today was the day we leave San Jose and go to Jaco! Pronounced "Haw-cO". But before I tell you that story, I must tell you this story...
Everyday breakfast is different than the other, and today they have a thing that is similar to banana, but it isn't. Let's just call it banana. Anyway, they had fried bananas!

Now I can tell you the Jaco story. Jaco is about one and a half hour away from San Jose. It is near a beach, and our hotel is right next to the beach, so that means instant relaxation, unless if you drown and stuff. So we had to drive an entire 1 1/2 hour *GASP*, but the bad thing is *GASP* is that, like all hotels, YOU NO REGISTER 'TIL 3 PM! YOU NO COME HERE! *GASP* But luckily, human brains came to save the day! We planned ahead of time, and decided to go on a canopy aerial tram! It was about 15 minutes away from our hotel. As we drove through their streets, the first thing you will notice is the bumpiness.
You look out the window, and the driver pulls up the window, and now you are headless. You look outside, and notice that the road is unpaved. Also, before you even turn into the road, you will notice that the GPS called the road "Unpaved Road". You also just realize that in Costa Rica, there are barely any street names, and worst of all, there are no street numbers. You could be on the street of a water park but 20 miles away, and not even know it. 2nd thing you'll notice is that... I don't know. The place is like 1-5 miles away from the main road... when we got there, there was a guy with those things you raise on toll booths, or railroad crossings. It's like a long bar on a stick, and it can go up and down. When down, it prevents car from coming over. The train will cross, or you have to pay the booth. When the train passes or you finish paying, the bar will go up, and you can pass. When you are at the booth, MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR CHANGE! If you have any. Well, that's the thing that we had to pass, to make sure we weren't clueless people driving around, trying to destroy property. But the different/weird/abnormal thing is that the bar is manually raised and lowered, instead of technology. Well, lets just pass this topic. We parked our car, bought tickets (they were stickers, you put them on your shirt). It was something like $60 for adults, and somewhere around $30-$50 for kids. We had a choice of from taking a tram up, and then tram down or zip line down. Don't worry, the zip line isn't just one line, there are 15 lines, so it's not that scary. We chose to just take the tram up and tram down. The best thing is that we were the only visitors! So on the tram, we could take 5 hours to get up, and take 12 hours to get down. Well, let's just get to pictures! By the way, our guide was named Rodrigo.
| This is what the tram looks like. 4 rows with 2 seats, back row for tour guide. I also forgot to say, the tram takes 30 minutes to get up, 30 minutes to get down, and another hour for a nature walk. |
| In nature, some things are possible. We found a male iguana! They say it tastes like chicken. They say everything that's weird tastes like chicken. |
| At the top of the tram. No, we don't get off, that's only for zip line people. |
Well really, that's all the majority of things we found, and we went back down, and it was time for a nature walk with our tour! I'll let the pictures do the talking. Wait, that means I let colors do the hearing!
| It's a Trumpet Flower! |
| Lobster Claw! Not edible. |
| And this stuff! |
Just when I thought we had to explore even more flowers, in came snakes! Stuck in a glass box.
| SNAKE! |
| That house is better than a blue whale's house! |
All the snakes ate rats. Once a week, not too bad. Just make sure they don't break the glass and start killing you. Just when I thought we had to look at even more snakes, we met ants that aren't part of the tour, but there were tons of them, working!
| They even have their own sign! |
| There are 2 types of ant in a colony: work ants and army ants. Look at those ants work, carrying leaves! |
To me, the ants was the most fun part! If you take the leaves from them, they will go back and get another one. If you give the ants a small leaf from the side, they will take it if it's not too heavy. Also, sometimes there are ants on the leaves. No, they are not being lazy, they are cleaning the leaf. Ants can carry up to x50 their weight! Well, I think the ants ended the tour. We headed to the hotel, but it was not 3PM yet. We had to go around town, killing and destroying time. Tick, tick, tick, tick... finally 3PM! We entered the hotel, got our luggage, and settled in in our room. It was $80 per adult/$40 per child, so it was pretty over-priced, but everything was all-inclusive, so we had complimentary breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks (hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, nachos, a bit of salad), and even bars, with alcohol! But I can still order without rum/alcohol/(ron, as they say it). The only drink I knew: Pi
ña Colada! I also ate an unhealthy snack: French Fries!
| Topped with melted cheese and ketchup! It's literally fat on a potato stick! |
We went into our hotel for a while, and went back outside to eat dinner. Not outside of the hotel, but outside of inside, or outside of our rooms. Outside of inside of inside of outside. I ate sirloin, mixed vegetables, corn, and sliced potatoes.

Please do not eat while watching this post, as it may cause nausea when looking at ants.
And now, for the moment you've all been [not] waiting for, the ultimate picture!
